  • Happiness is a choice

    I don't xanga much anymore.  Mostly because this site in general has gotten so degenerate. There is almost always something tacky in the side bars. My children all have abandoned their xangas of their own accord and gone to more wholesome sites. It's a shame because I really like how easy xanga is to blog on compaired to a lot of other places. Even an amature computer-er like me can make a nice looking blog.  Anyway, you can find me at  Homeschool Blogger  and The Homeschool Lounge if your looking for me.  I want to keep my xanga, though, because there are some friends on here that I like to keep up with. One of them recently made a post that really encouraged me.  I've decided to honor her by copying part of it onto my xanga. I hope it blesses you as much as it did me.

    " last night I heard a good message on TV in my room while the guys were watching a movie. It was on , "How to find happiness." It is a 7 part series. I may not get to catch the others in the series, but last nights was really good. The first part...."Where can I find it?"

    First you have to do a few things:

    • be at peace with God
    • love your family
    • work (you know the old saying, Idleness is the devils workshop)
    • and have hope. Hope that is real, not wishful thinking

    Secondly, you need to remove a few things:

    • neurotic guilt (this is the guilt that thinks that even God cant cleanse you)
    • uncontrolled anger
    • selfishness (me centered chrsitianity)
    • fatigues . This can be spiritual and emotional as well as physical.

    ...

     Here are 2 more points::

    • Happiness is a CHOICE! YOU MAKE IT! Nobody can do it for you.
    • Dont think negative thoughts. Take those thoughts to God, and leave them!
    • SEE YOURSELF AS GOD SEES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT AS HOW OTHER PEOPLE SEE YOU!!!!!!!!!!

    (end of quote)
